I just tested the Portals Email Notifications option, and it's a huge help in remaining up to date without continually visiting the portal. It saves a lot of time, especially when you have many deadlines. To be honest, it makes me wonder how much easier life would be if I could find someone to write my dissertation for me streamlining notifications and duties would feel so natural. Definitely worth investigating for anyone juggling large workloads.
