Employee Ethical Standards and Training

Our teachers understand that legally they are mandatory reporters of abuse.  They have been instructed in procedures for reporting abuse and have received a copy of the "Reporting Abuse of Children and Vulnerable Adults" pamphlet published in 2007 by the Florida Department of Children and Families, including appropriate telephone numbers for reporting and a copy of FAX transmittal form.

Teachers have been informed of their immunity from liability in reporting abuse as stated by law.  They also understand that they need to communicate specific concerns to the Head of Schools when submitting a formal report to the Florida Abuse Hotline following the steps outlined in the "How to Make a Report" section of the pamphlet listed above.
